Admissions
The admissions process begins in the fall of the year prior to intended enrollment. For example, for intended enrollment in September 2010, the process starts in the fall of 2009. The timetable is as follows:
- Admissions inquiries are logged starting in September. Prospective parents phone or email the school. In return, a representative from the school will contact each family to arrange an individualized tour. Tours take place in the month of November during school hours.
- Admissions to the Coop is on a first come, first served basis. It is based on the chronological order in which admissions inquiries are received. Special consideration is given to siblings of former and currently enrolled students and to members of the church that leases space to the Coop. The director also strives to balance each class with respect to age and gender. Our school is open to all, regardless of religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, cultural heritage, political beliefs, or marital status of parents. Financial assistance is available.
- School Tours occur in November. Visits are hosted by Co-op parent volunteers. This includes an information session, a facilities tour, and an opportunity to meet the teachers and see the classrooms in action. AFTER touring the school, prospective parents may then apply for admission if they so desire. Application forms are provided at this time.
- Applications are due November 30th. There is a $45 nonrefundable application fee.
- Admissions decisions are made by December 1st. Notifications and enrollment contracts are sent.
- Enrollment Deadline is December 15th. Completed Enrollment contracts are due back at school by December 15th, along with a $500 deposit towards tuition. This is a binding contract which secures the child's place in the upcoming year's class.
- A waiting list is established if classes are full.
- Rolling admission begins after January 1st if openings become available and the wait list has been fulfilled.
