The Children's Coop

Our Goal

At the Coop, our goal is to provide a setting for each child which ENCOURAGES his or her independence, promotes creativity, fosters self-confidence, and encourages LEARNING through interactions with other children and adults.  We have a developmentally appropriate program, putting primary emphasis on social-emotional GROWTH.  Learning takes place during free-choice activity time as well as more structured activities in art, music, science and literature.  The classroom provides a non-sexist approach to ROLE-EXPLORATION and dramatic play and promotes RESPECT for cultural diversity.

Playground Plan

The Coop is very excited to break ground on a major playground renovation this spring. The new outdoor play space will provide a varied terrain including a grassy hill, mulch, concrete and pea stone, as well as a new sandbox, slide, natural building area, stage, climber, water trough and much, much more.

You Can Help!

Help the Coop make our beautiful playground plan a reality by contributing to our renovation fund. Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated and can be made by check (payable to The Children’s Coop and mailed to the address above) or by clicking the PayPal Donate link. A contribution of $100 or more will be recognized with a beautiful reclaimed wood sign inscribed with your name (or other text of your choice, up to 18 characters) and permanently installed on the playground.

Check out our list of the Best Books for Preschoolers and do your holiday shopping with Amazon and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Children's Coop.
